Your Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, ordering necessary diagnostic assessments, and developing personalized care plans
  • Diagnose and treat both acute and chronic illnesses, collaborating with physicians or working independently based on your credentials
  • Provide education on disease prevention, wellness practices, and management of health conditions to patients and their families
  • Prescribe medications and therapies, following your scope of practice
  • Be involved in patient follow-ups and chronic condition management
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and cohesive care
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
What You Need to Succeed
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Necessary Certifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Colorado
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or its equivalent in specialty
  • Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (or capacity to obtain these within 90 days)
