Your Responsibilities - Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing personalized care strategies
- Diagnosing and treating both acute and chronic conditions independently or collaboratively with attending physicians
- Providing education to patients and their families about prevention strategies, wellness practices, and disease management techniques
- Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with your scope of practice
- Ensuring continuous patient care through follow-ups and chronic disease management
- Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive care
- Accurately documenting all patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Requirements - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certifications Needed - Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Florida
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days)
