Job Description

FTS is working with a top client in search of a new Market GM to lead operations at a waste hauling & transfer station. This person will oversee all collection and/or post-collections operations, represent the Company to customers, vendors and municipal customers and other external stakeholders, and drive change management initiatives within the business unit.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee safety and accident prevention programs
• Establish a pro-active safety culture, maintain compliance with operating, regulatory, safety, accounting, ethics and, environmental standards.
• Manage day-to-day operations
• Assure quality and budget performance
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained
• Select, coach, discipline, and train employees, evaluate performance, and provide input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
• P&L management
• Maintain optimal equipment utilization, maintenance, and material costs.
• Develop both short-term and long-term goals
• DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and company policy enforcement
• Interacts with government agencies, and negotiate new contracts.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED
• 10+ years of experience in Waste Management
• OSHA and DOT experience
