Verb Coffee in Concord, NC is looking for one baker to join our strong team. We are located on 1592 Concord Pkwy N. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged.

We are seeking a dedicated and creative Baker to join our café team. The ideal candidate is passionate about baking, detail-oriented, and takes pride in crafting fresh, high-quality baked goods. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of breads, pastries, muffins, cookies, and other baked items that delight our customers and complement our café offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods daily.
• Follow recipes and presentation standards while ensuring consistent quality and taste.
• Manage baking schedules to ensure items are fresh and available throughout operating hours.
• Monitor ingredient inventory and notify management of supply needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area in accordance with food safety standards.
• Experiment with new recipes and seasonal baked goods to keep the menu exciting.
• Collaborate with café staff and management on menu planning and customer preferences.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of all food items.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a baker, pastry chef, or similar role in a café, bakery, or restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work early morning shifts and weekends as needed.
• Creativity and passion for food presentation and flavor.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with gluten-free, vegan, or specialty baking.

Working Conditions:

• Early morning shifts, typically starting between 4:00 AM –6:00 AM.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Exposure to hot ovens and kitchen equipment.
