This is a full-time faculty position. Full-time faculty provides instruction and service in support of college policies and procedures, along with participation in professional development opportunities. This position will specifically provide in-person, on-campus teaching in the classroom as a primary function for a variety of courses within the discipline of Biological Science. This position is primarily for in-person, on-campus courses taught a variation of days (Monday through Friday) on Main Campus in Tallahassee, Florida. Courses needed are time blocks during the morning, mid-day, and afternoon. A small amount of evening options may also be available. The Biological Science Associate Professor must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in biology or related or applied biological science subfield. A master’s degree in a related discipline with 18 or more graduate credit hours in Area(s) also meets the minimum requirement. Qualifying Fields include Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Cell biology, Genetics, Marine biology, Microbiology, Molecular biology, Mycology, Neurobiology, Pathobiology or pathology, Physiology, Phytopathology, Visual Science, or Zoology. Unofficial transcript(s) of all relevant college coursework and Teaching Philosophy are also required. Preference given to veterans and spouses eligible under Veterans' Preference Law with submission of Form DD214.
