We are looking for motivated canditates to work in a team environment at a well establised and growing tax and accounting firm.
WHO WE ARE: We are a well established (this year is our 30th anniversary) and still growing, tax and accounting firm located in Tarpon Springs, FL. We have a dedicated team of tax, accounting and bookkeeping professionals that make up our award winning firm that specializes in small business clients.
LOCATION OF WORK: This opportunity is for a bookkeeper to work in a team environment at our office located in Tarpon Springs, FL. Remote work (from home) part-time or full-time is a possible consideration, but only after a period of in-house training has been completed. The possible remote work (from home) opportunity depends on your current qualifications and level of further training required - and is made available upon a discussion with management on a case-by-case basis only. Initially, training will be in our offices.
WORK DESCRIPTION: You will be assigned several small business clients and will be required to manage each account with extreme accuracy and complete each client account in a timely fashion. You should understand journal entries, debits vs. credits. In this position, you will be required to perform data entry, and required to input various source financial information into bookkeeping software monthly. In a team environment, our other bookkeeping and accounting staff will work along side you with the same clients that you work on and review all work together to maximize accuracy and service quality. We are not looking for past A/R or A/P accountants, rather someone with a larger understanding of accounting entries, bookkeeping and the accounting cycle.
Depending on your current qualifications, and/or further training required, you will also be expected to calculate and remit payroll and payroll taxes, FL sales tax, prepare beginning and adjusting journal entries, interpret and review the financials for accuracy, research and interpret certain client government notices, communicate directly with clients and reconcile multiple accounts. Training is available where required.
