Make a Difference As part of our Spiritual Services team, the Chaplain responds to requests and referrals for pastoral care services in a timely fashion. Makes spiritual assessments and provides appropriate interventions. Participates effectively with the staff as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team. Plans/conducts workshops and in-service programs for hospital staff as necessary. Develops relationships with staff which allow for the provision of support during times of high stress and crisis. Provides liaison and educational for community clergy. Facilitates therapy and/or support groups for patients or the community at large.
Your Exceptional Skills and Qualifications Responds to requests/referrals for spiritual/pastoral care services in a timely fashion.
Makes spiritual assessments and provides appropriate interventions.

Plans/conducts workshops and/or in-service programs for hospital staff and/or volunteers/students when requested and as necessary.
Develops relationships with all staff, which allows for the provision of spiritual/emotional support during times of high stress and crisis.
Provides liaison and educational services for community clergy, volunteers, and/or students as necessary.
Facilitates support groups for patients, their families, or the community at large as appropriate.
Shares in the chaplains' regular on-call rotation providing evening, night and weekend pastoral care services at Network Hospitals.
If needed, provides support and on-site supervision of the Eucharistic Lay Minister program (A Chaplain of the Catholic faith also performs this function).
Individuals may not perform all of these duties, or may perform additional, related duties not listed here.
Ability to effectively interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds and in varying degrees of stress and need is essential.
Education Masters of Divinity; or its equivalent when the faith group does not require a Masters of Divinity from an accredited seminary.
4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education required for full-time and part-time staff or 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education for PRN staff
At least two years of full-time parish experience following ordination.
Within two (2) years from date of hire, certification by one of the following professional organizations is required: The Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), or the National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC))
