About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in general contracting to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will be a key strategic partner, overseeing all financial operations, and will be responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, risk management, compliance, and overall financial performance. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' progressive financial leadership in the construction industry, with a focus on growth and scalability. Key responsibilities include serving as a strategic advisor on financial planning, leading the development of financial strategies, and ensuring the company's financial health and sustainability. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have in-depth knowledge of construction accounting, including job cost accounting, WIP schedules, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition. Proficiency in ERP systems used in construction is essential, with experience in Sage300 and Procore strongly preferred. The role requires a leader with exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, who can manage a high-performing finance and accounting team. The CFO will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry standards, as well as managing relationships with financial institutions. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, and an MBA or CPA is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a mentor, promoting a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance and accounting team.
