Contract Marketing Consultant (5 - 10 Hours per Week)

District Cannabis is looking for a contract resource to drive foot traffic and sales at our Hagerstown, MD location. This resource must be located in Hagerstown, MD, have local contacts with social media promoters, and have a great understanding of events happening around Hagerstown, MD. This resource must have proven experience in marketing and be willing to understand and conform to the intricacies of the Cannabis marketing code in MD. The job entails identifying and scheduling events that align with our brand's image and target audience, identifying and forming relationships with local businesses, and attending events with promotional materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Researching and creating a schedule of local events in Maryland - specifically Hagerstown, MD.
• Identifying and building productive sales driving relationships with local businesses and event companies
• Identifying and forming relationships with local influencers
• Identifying and prioritizing promotional activities and partnerships
• Handing out promotional materials and creating positive and memorable interactions with attendees at events
• Acting as the face of District Cannabis at events, embodying our core values and spreading brand awareness
• Taking photos and videos at events for social media and marketing use
• Working with the marketing team to promote events on social media
• Creating content for store social media posts
• Transporting promotional materials to and from events
• Adhere to all local laws and regulations regarding the promotion and distribution of cannabis-products

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years old or older
• Must be able to pass a state and federal criminal background check
• Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends and/or holidays
• At least 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience a plus
• Knowledge of cannabis plant and the Maryland market a plus
