As a Copy Editor in the Global Communications department, you will play a key role in shaping Capital Group’s voice across internal and external platforms. You will collaborate with writers, designers, and business leaders to ensure content is clear, compelling, and aligned with our brand and editorial standards. This role requires a strong command of language, a sharp editorial eye, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You have a bachelor’s degree.
You have a minimum of five years’ experience as a copy editor in a professional setting.
You have a working knowledge of investment concepts or are willing to learn about them.
You demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
You have experience copy editing, proofreading and fact-checking content in marketing materials, newsletters, web content, financial reports and other related materials.
You can recommend edits based on knowledge of target audience, compliance regulations and internal/external style guides. Your input will help ensure accuracy and improve overall tone, clarity and conciseness.
You will participate in a broader copy editor community within Capital Group in order to identify and recommend process improvements for more effective content development and review.
You have experience with different media channels: print, email, web and video.
You can prioritize and complete a steady stream of assignments in a timely manner.
You thrive in collaborative team settings and enjoy working closely with writers and designers.
You are comfortable working in office four days a week, Monday-Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.
New York Base Salary Range: $77,365-$123,784
Los Angeles Base Salary Range: $71,564-$114,502
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
