Job Title: Critical Risk & Physical Security Manager
Job Description: Trystar is a leader in portable and permanent power distribution solutions. The Critical Risk & Security Manager is responsible for developing and continuously reviewing critical safety and security programs, procedures, training, work practices and controls are effectively implemented across our Trystar locations. . This position is accountable for identifying, analyzing, and implementing controls for critical risks to our business locations, including Serious Injury & Fatality (SIF), Security, operational, compliance, and reputational risk. This position will routinely interact with Operations, Sourcing, Quality, HR, IT, Legal, and Engineering to support and maintain systems in order to ensure compliance and conformance to all Trystar HSE Policies, Programs, Work Instructions, and Management Systems. This role will report to Trystar HSE Director.

In this role you will get to: - Incorporate loss-prevention strategies to manage the protection of assets, including our employees, our equipment, our locations, and our reputation
- Oversee and implement improvements to safety programs, procedures, and training on topics that have high risk and potential for Serious Injuries and Fatalities, including but not limited to:
- LOTO, Electrical Safety, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Emergency Procedures
- Manage the company’s workers’ compensation, theft, and property damage claims staring with supporting investigations, filing of the appropriate claims, following up with injured workers, case-management of open claims, ensuring injured workers are safely returned to work
- Analyze and report on claim history and loss data
- Maintain a strong relationship with our Insurance Broker and Carriers to review open claims, and review potential improvements for risks at the company’s sites
- Fire Protection Systems, Safety Programs, Lithium Ion Battery Storage
- Establish Business Continuity Planning practices and processes, work cross functionally at the company’s sites to identify, assess, review risks, and plan for continuity plans
- Support emergency preparedness and emergency response planning for the company’s sites, including but not limited to:
- Fire Response, Chemical Spill Response, Violence or Action Shooter Response
- Monitor status of emergency systems and safety-equipment, and ensure ongoing inspections and service/maintenance are being performed accordingly
- Fire Alarm & Detection, Emergency Lighting, Emergency Communication Systems, etc
- Establish Security Standards & guidelines for the company’s sites to follow
- Coordinate with other function (HR, IT, Maint) for hardware and administration
- Collaborate with management and staff to promote a culture of safety and ensure that safety is a top priority throughout the organization
- Lead the review and implementation of processes for critical safety risks, property risks, security standards, and business continuity planning at new and acquired company locations and for new product launches
Job Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management or related field
- Five years of progressive work experience in a position directly related to safety, risk management, and security in manufacturing environments
- Strong ability to communicate in written and oral formats with diplomacy and tact
- Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and Windows
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated success in teaching others safety and security concepts and requirements
- Previous experience managing SIF (Serious Injury & Fatality) programs or reviews
- Previous experience managing workers compensation and property insurance claims
- Previous experience with evaluating risk, and managing business continuity plans
- Knowledge of fire systems, emergency planning and security systems
- Successful leadership in manufacturing facilities & work project teams in support of health & safety endeavors
- An aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoning
- Previous success in working effectively in a cross functional environment
- Skilled in leading others without formal reporting authority
- Flexibility to work extended or later hours periodically to support second shift
Ability to travel up to 25% to visit other sites and support with safety audits and initiatives
