Position Details
Title: IT Customer Support - Chat
Interviews: In Person
Location: 4343 Easton Commons, Columbus, OH 43219 ONSITE
Pay Rate: $21.00/HR
Contract Length: 12 months

Hours of Operation:
6 AM - 8 PM Local Time
Training: Standard Business Hours (Mon-Fri)
Shift Details
  • Training: Standard business hours (Mon-Fri).
Post-Training Shifts:
  • Shifts are scheduled anytime between 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM local time .
  • Assignment depends on business needs and candidate availability .
  • Preferences are considered whenever possible.
  • Weekends: Weekend shifts are voluntary ; historically, they have not been required .
Future Shift Changes:
  • Shifts are generally stable and do not change unless the associate chooses or requests to change.
  • Shift bids/lotteries may be conducted based on business needs.
  • Shifts may be adjusted if a new spot opens or to backfill for new joiners.

Job Description
  • The Service Desk Chat Agent is the first point of contact for IT support via live chat in a 24x7x365 environment. This role provides exceptional customer service, resolves technical issues, documents tickets, and manages multiple chats simultaneously while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.


    Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely, empathetic, and professional support through live chat.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and infrastructure issues.
  • Document all actions and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
  • Use knowledge base tools and expertise to drive first-contact resolution.
  • Collaborate with peers and escalate issues when needed.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or automate processes.
  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 2-5 years of customer support experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical support experience preferred; 2-5 years of chat support required.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple chats effectively.
