Key Responsibilities:

  • Prompt Customer Engagement: Quickly and efficiently answer phone calls and courteously assist walk-in customers with orders, quotes, and delivery times.

  • Sales Transaction Management: Conduct all counter sales transactions, accurately entering orders into the computer system.

  • Expert Product Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive product knowledge to ensure timely, efficient, and well-informed customer service.

  • Accurate Sales Processing: Verify and complete all necessary information meticulously before entering sales transactions.

  • Sales Goal Contribution: Provide valuable suggestions to help meet and exceed established sales goals.

  • Issue Resolution: Resolve or promptly alert management regarding inventory issues or customer concerns, ensuring smooth operations.

  • Payment Processing & Returns: Efficiently receive payments or obtain credit authorization. Examine defective materials returned by customers to determine appropriate refunds or replacements.

  • Merchandise Presentation: Effectively display merchandise, suggest selections that perfectly meet customer needs, and skillfully emphasize key selling points of products.

  • Showroom Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized showroom environment, enhancing the customer experience.

What We're Looking For:

  • Home Service Industry Experience: Required experience in the home service industry (experience in the HVAC industry would be a good fit)

  • Customer Service Excellence: A strong ability to understand customer needs and consistently meet those needs, coupled with a customer service focus and mindset.

  • Organizational & Follow-Through Skills: Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities to manage tasks effectively.

  • Relationship Building: Proven experience in developing strong relationships with customers.

  • Communication Proficiency: Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective interactions.

  • High Integrity & Social Skills: High integrity with advanced social skills and the ability to make solid connections with diverse individuals.

  • Adaptability & Drive: A personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment, demonstrating motivation, drive, and a self-starting attitude.

  • Problem-Solving Acumen: Strong problem-solving skills to efficiently address customer and operational challenges.

  • Basic Math & Computer Skills: Proficient understanding of units of measure and basic mathematical skills. Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bilingual (A Plus): Spanish language skills are a plus, though not required.
