Job Description (English):
We are seeking caring, loyal, and dedicated individuals to join our team. This unique position requires candidates to provide both in-home group home care ( Direct Care Worker, W-2 employee ) AND community-based support ( Life Skills Development 1 Companion, 1099 contractor ).
You will be working with adults with developmental disabilities in both settings — assisting with daily living needs inside the home and supporting life skills, social activities, and outings in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Group Home / Direct Care (20 hrs – W-2):
Maintain and support clients’ personal hygiene and grooming needs.
Assist with the administration and management of medications.
Prepare meals and complete light house cleaning.
Help clients work toward their IPP goals.
Document clients’ progress and activities accurately.
Life Skills 1 Companion (30 hrs – 1099):
Provide daily support and companionship during community outings.
Facilitate physical and mental learning opportunities.
Encourage participation in meaningful community activities.
Maintain detailed daily records of client activities.
Transport clients safely to and from activities using personal vehicle.
Requirements:
1 year of experience in patient care.
High School Diploma/GED.
Must pass a Level 2 background check (local & federal).
Valid Florida Driver’s License & Car Insurance.
Willingness to use personal vehicle for community outings.
Ability to write in English.
APD-required annual certificates.
High level of compassion, reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.

Home located in Sunset area (33172).

Responsabilidades Clave:

Ayudar con la administración y gestión de medicamentos.
Preparar comidas y realizar limpieza ligera de la casa.
Ayudar a los clientes a trabajar hacia sus metas de IPP.
Documentar con precisión el progreso y las actividades de los clientes.
Compañero de Habilidades de Vida 1 (30 horas – 1099):
Proporcionar apoyo diario y compañía durante las salidas comunitarias.
Facilitar oportunidades de aprendizaje físico y mental.
Fomentar la participación en actividades comunitarias significativas.
Mantener registros diarios detallados de las actividades de los clientes.
Transportar a los clientes de manera segura hacia y desde las actividades utilizando un vehículo personal.
Requisitos:
1 año de experiencia en cuidado del paciente.
Diploma de escuela secundaria o GED.
Capacidad para aprobar una verificación de antecedentes de nivel 2 (local y federal).
Licencia de conducir de Florida válida y seguro de automóvil.
Disposición a usar vehículo personal para salidas comunitarias.
Capacidad para escribir en inglés.
Certificados anuales requeridos por APD.
Alto nivel de compasión, confiabilidad, puntualidad y atención al detalle.
