We are currently seeking individuals to fill this role in the
Greater Phoenix Area. Experienced Door Installers are responsible for handling and installing commercial wood and hollow metal doors and hardware in a field setting. Must also have knowledge of installation of aluminum door frames, steel door frames and other hollow metal knock down frames.
Trainee Door Installers will learn how to read blueprints and develop an understanding of installation procedures. Will also be shown how to handle and hang commercial wood and hollow metal doors and assist with installation of commercial door hardware in a field setting. Will be trained how to properly install aluminum door frames such as Western Integrated and Wilson Partition as well as how to properly install steel door frames such as Timely and other hollow metal knock down frames. Will help ensure the efficient use of materials while supporting lead installers on jobsites. Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions. Learn how to conduct accurate field measuring of door openings and operate equipment and power tools.
Requirements Hiring all experience levels. - Must possess strong work ethic and helpful attitude.
- Static Strength - should be able to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects.
- Flexibility - should be able to bend, stretch, twist, and reach with your body and extremities.
- Have good balance and hand-eye coordination.
- Basic Numerical Faculty - should be able to perform basic math functions including counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- Beneficial to have prior building and construction knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings, but not required.
Experienced Door Installers should also be skilled in: - Ability to operate equipment and power tools.
- Should be capable of installing materials per project specifications, door hardware schedules and blueprints.
- Be detail oriented with a safety-first approach to work.
All positions must perform general physical activities which require considerable use of arms, legs, and moving the entire body (i.e. climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and kneeling).
