EHS Specialist

Position Overview
The EHS Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe workplace. This role involves conducting risk assessments, training employees, and liaising with various departments to maintain safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations.
• Provide training and support to employees on EHS practices and procedures.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and update EHS documentation, including reports, records, and safety programs.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental health standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees.
• Certification in EHS-related fields (e.g., CSP, CHMM) is a plus.
