Environment, Health & Safety Advisor in Cheyenne, WY - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONL Y

You will work with safety-oriented stakeholders at their US Pipelines and Logistics team as a subject matter expert in Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S), and regulatory requirements. Your work will be split between fieldwork and office, interacting with front-line leaders while supporting operations, maintenance and engineering.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSA) or a certification/diploma in occupational health and safety, and environment.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with a technical background in health, safety, and regulatory matters in the oil and gas industry.
  • Understanding of Federal and State environmental, health & safety and emergency management legislation.
  • Strong computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Interpret and apply OSHA regulations that govern the activities, products, and services of the facility to assist leaders in reflecting due diligence in decision making.
  • Anticipate, identify, evaluate, and contribute to both proactive and reactive controls to mitigate risk.
  • Devise practical and economical solutions to a broad range of health and safety challenges.
  • Ensure compliance to our standards, processes and procedures while also ensuring compliance with the regulatory EHS and emergency management requirements.
  • Perform emergency preparedness and response duties as defined in the emergency response plan.
  • Support contractor management with a focus on hazard identification the creation of detailed health and safety plans, including exposure control, ventilation.
  • Provide technical support and advice on DOT/PHMSA regulatory and safety issues associated with compliance training to improve compliance systems.
  • Fulfill information requests for internal and external DOT / PHMSA and regulatory audits.
  • Collaborate with the engineering, maintenance departments and field operations to ensure specifications are appropriate and current and that they meet compliance requirements.

Location and other Key Details:

  • You will work out of the Cheyenne Office.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs.
  • You will be required to use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces.

Pay Rate: $59 - $64 per hour, based on experience
