Easterly Snow, a Strategic Partner of Easterly Asset Management, in Pittsburgh, PA, is looking for an Associate-level team member to support Senior Analysts and Portfolio Managers through all aspects of the investment process, including financial modeling and maintenance research.* The Easterly Snow Investment Team is responsible for all aspects of portfolio management and construction. Our process is fundamentally driven from the bottom up, with a heightened focus on cash flow and balance sheet integrity in companies that may be experiencing short-to-intermediate-term difficulties. The candidate should have natural intellectual curiosity and a passion for investing. The Team is looking for a candidate who is open to mentorship and training on Easterly Snow's established investment process while leveraging and integrating skills from their own background.   Position Overview The Equity Research Analyst will work closely with other analysts and portfolio managers on all phases of the investment process including research and analysis, financial modeling, implementation, and monitoring. Primary duties include conducting fundamental research on existing and new investment ideas, creating and maintaining models, writing internal research reports, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. Job Responsibilities Analyze industries and individual securities for the purpose of investment Make timely and actionable stock recommendations Serve as firm’s expert on assigned securities and their industries Create and maintain company models Effectively and willingly communicate analysis with portfolio management team Contribute to internal research-related discussions Adhere to core investment philosophy and process Qualifications ~ Bachelor’s degree required ~ CFA and/or MBA preferred ~3 -10 years experience in a fundamental equity research role ~ Excellent written and verbal communication skills ~ Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities. ~ Ability to handle multiple projects ~ The candidate should have natural intellectual curiosity and a passion for financial markets. ~ Willingness to work in an entrepreneurial, small-company environment *As of 12/31/2024, Easterly Asset Management ("Easterly") and its Strategic Partners have $60B in managed assets which includes $3B in AUM managed by Easterly's wholly owned subsidiary, Easterly Investment Partners LLC, a registered investment advisor.
