ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client is a 25-bed, non-profit community hospital designated as a Critical Access Hospital. Our client endeavors to offer the best of two worlds - the warmth and friendliness of a small town and the technical expertise of modern medicine. Located in Wolfeboro, NH, we provide primary care, diagnostic testing and specialty services in the region. Our client provides medical services to the region's year-round population of 30,000 residents and approximately 120,000 seasonal residents and visitors who come from all over the world to enjoy the Eastern Lakes Region and the communities of: Alton, Brookfield, Effingham, Freedom, Madison, Moultonborough, New Durham, Ossipee, Sanbornville, Sandwich, Tamworth, Tuftonboro, Wolfeboro and surrounding towns.

WHO YOU ARE: ER RN

Under the general supervision of the Director of Emergency Services, our Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for safe, effective, and quality patient and family centered care in the Emergency Department.

Duties and Responsibilities: Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN)

• Plans, evaluates, directs, and renders care according to established standards of care.
• Incorporates evidence based best practice into everyday clinical activities.
• Performs medication reconciliation and administers medications safely and appropriately using the 5 rights of medication administration, leveraging technology and pharmacy resources.
• Recognizes and performs nursing interventions to maintain the body's homeostasis (acid-base balance, fluids and electrolyte imbalances, wound and tissue perfusion)
• In accordance with standing Emergency Department medical protocols and standing orders; enters orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition, communicates same treating provider.
• Maintains accurate, detailed clinical nursing documentation, reports and records.
• Within the scope of nursing practice, provides oversight of nursing care activates of ancillary nursing/healthcare team's member.
• Demonstrate flexibility, practice and collaboration to cross train in other departments.
• Consistently utilizes clear, concise, professional communication in all interactions including; with patients, families, between disciplines, inter-departmentally and with outside agencies.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

• Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year of ER RN experience or Paramedic. Proficient with electronic medical records, computer literate.
• Certifications/Licensures: BLS, ACLS required. PALS, TNCC Preferred.
