Job Description

Overview

As an Account Manager, youll be the primary day-to-day contact for clients, ensuring projects are delivered smoothly, on budget, and to the highest standard. Youll take briefs, translate them into clear plans for the team, and oversee delivery from start to finish. This role is about balancing hands-on project management with building strong client relationships - youll not only ensure the details are right but also anticipate needs and keep clients confident that their events are in safe hands.

Youll guide Account Executives and collaborate closely with Senior Account Managers and Account Directors. Youll also manage budgets and supplier relationships, and travel to events to represent the agency on-site.

What Youll Do
  • Act as the main day-to-day contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships
  • Partner with clients on briefs, turning requirements into clear project plans for internal teams
  • Manage projects end-to-end: timelines, budgets, resources, and quality control
  • Collaborate with operations, registration, travel, and creative teams to ensure a seamless delegate journey
  • Oversee supplier relationships, contracts, and logistics
  • Manage budgets and financial tracking, reporting back to clients and senior leaders
  • Guide Account Executives working on your projects, providing direction and support
  • Travel to and host events, ensuring delivery meets client expectations
What Youre Great At
  • Client communication - listening, advising, and keeping stakeholders engaged
  • Project management and problem-solving under pressure
  • Budget management and financial accountability
  • Juggling multiple projects without losing sight of details
  • Building trust and maintaining positive relationships
  • Working independently while contributing to team success
  • Staying positive and resilient in a fast-paced environment
  • Fitting in with a team and having a sunny disposition, and the ability to crack a joke, is always welcome particularly when under pressure!
What Were Looking For
  • A business degree or related qualification
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant account or project management experience, ideally in events, marketing, or an agency environment
  • Proven ability to manage client-facing projects with budget responsibility
