Job Description
Join our team as a Welder where you will use Flux Core Welding on Mild Steel to construct barges. You will work collaboratively under a supervisor, reading blueprints and applying your welding skills in various techniques including MIG and TIG.
Responsibilities
Perform Flux Core Welding on Mild Steel.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Collaborate with team members under the guidance of a supervisor.
Apply various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
Ensure accurate fitting and tack welding.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Flux Core, MIG, and TIG welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with fabrication and structural steel welding.
Knowledge of welding on stainless steel and carbon steel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous welding experience of 3-6 months.
Ability to pass a weld test (1-5F).
Experience with tack and fitting.

Work Environment
The work environment is outdoors and can be very hot. Safety is a priority, requiring steel toe ankle-high leather boots, long sleeves, and pants. Contact lenses are discouraged due to welding smoke. Work is conducted in two shifts: 1st shift from Mon-Fri 6am-3:30pm, and 2nd shift from Mon-Fri 3:15pm-12:45am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland City, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $21.30/hr.
