Job Description

Join an exciting new personal finance YouTube channel focused on delivering real-world money advice and engaging storytelling. This role is ideal for a freelance video editor based in the Seattle–Tacoma area who thrives in a collaborative, creative environment and is passionate about producing high-quality, retention-driven YouTube content. You will work closely with the channel creator, occasionally on-site at a home studio, to craft talking-head videos in the style of leading finance creators. This is a part-time, contract opportunity with the potential for a long-term freelance relationship, starting with a paid test edit.

Deliverables

• Edit talking-head YouTube videos with a focus on pacing, retention, and audience engagement
• Collaborate in-person at the home studio for studio setup, creative brainstorming, and feedback sessions
• Apply graphics, sound design, and color correction to enhance video quality
• Ensure all edits align with the channel’s brand and storytelling style
• Prepare final deliverables optimized for YouTube upload

Requirements

• Based in the Seattle–Tacoma area with the ability to work in-person as needed (remote-only applicants will not be considered)
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro
• Strong understanding of YouTube editing styles, pacing, and retention strategies
• Excellent communication skills and reliability for ongoing collaboration
• Interest in personal finance topics and a willingness to contribute creative ideas
• Ability to start with a paid test edit before committing to a longer-term arrangement
