Job Description

Must Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years minimum equivalent work experience.
• Proficient with ESRI Suite, ArcGISPro
• Strong Computer literacy (Comfortable managing dual monitor setup/2 computers at a time; Microsoft 365 Products, Outlook, and Google Products)
• Strong communication skills
• Data Driven Pages and/or Map Series experience
• Experience mapping Linear Projects (Fiber, DOT, Transmission, Pipeline, Railroad, Transportation, etc.)
• Leadership/Management/Supervisory experience

Preferred Skills:

• Hosted Feature Layers / ArcGIS Online experience

Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled OSP GIS Analyst Lead to join our contract team based in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience using ArcGIS Pro software to design and maintain fiber optic networks or work experience on related projects. This team works regular working hours on eastern time. A successful candidate in this role will leverage their technical and leadership experience to gain a strong understanding of GIS principles, fiber optic technology, and telecommunication infrastructure. Responsibilities:

• Design and document fiber optic networks using ArcGIS Pro software.
• Create, update, and maintain GIS data layers related to fiber optic infrastructure.
• Perform spatial analysis and generate maps and reports to support network planning and development.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure accurate and efficient fiber network designs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all design work.
• Assist in the preparation of permits and related materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS data and software.
• Provide training and support to team members on GIS and fiber design tools and methodologies.
