Job Title: Industrial Millwright
Location: Garden City, KS
Salary: $70-100K
Overview:
A leading feed manufacturing operation is seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to join our maintenance team. This position is vital to ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our feed mill operations. If you're a problem-solver who thrives in a hands-on environment and takes pride in precision work, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, repair, and replace components on both new and existing milling and conveying equipment.
Identify issues through visual, auditory, and tactile inspection to maintain optimal plant performance.
Conduct routine facility walkthroughs and support ongoing preventive maintenance initiatives.
Assemble and install equipment and machinery with precision.
Perform steel fabrication work including welding, cutting, and measuring—often outdoors.
Train and support less experienced team members when necessary.
Follow all safety protocols including LOTO, Hot Work Permits, and Confined Space Permits.
Collaborate with outside contractors and internal project teams when required.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of Millwright experience, preferably in grain elevator or feed mill environments.
Strong knowledge of chain conveyors, belt conveyors, augers, bucket elevators, and mixers.
Skilled in steel fabrication and welding.
Proficient troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Ability to work in dusty, dirty, and outdoor environments year-round.
Basic electrical, hydraulic, and computer skills.
Fluent in English and safety-oriented.
Team-player mindset with strong work ethic.
