Job Description

Gemini is looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to join our team in Garland, TX or Cannon Falls, MN! This is a hybrid role, with expectations to be onsite for onboarding. This role is responsible for supporting the goals and vision of Gemini Incorporated by designing and developing strategic, high-impact training content that aligns with organizational and department goals. This role ensures learning materials are effective, accurate, engaging, and scalable—empowering leaders and functional trainers to effectively deliver training that enhances product knowledge, communication, and service quality. A day in the life of a Instructional Designer includes:

Analyze training needs with leaders and collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define learning objectives and course content.
Design, develop, and deliver instructional materials including eLearning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), application, task analyses, materials, job aids, and assessments.
Build toolkits and supporting resources for leaders and trainers to ensure consistent delivery across teams and locations.
Apply instructional design theories, adult learning principles, and innovative strategies to create engaging learning experiences.
Develop storyboards, scripts, and prototypes using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
Implement and manage content in learning management systems (LMS) and ensure course compatibility.
Evaluate learning effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and use data to improve course quality.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project timelines and deadlines.
Stay up to date on trends in instructional design, technology, and adult learning theory.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in adult learning theory (ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, etc.) to ensure content is practical, scalable and relevant to diverse learning needs.
Strong writing and content development skills, with the ability to simplify complex information into digestible formats.
Includes skills in creating visually appealing and interactive content along with scripting and storyboard writing.
Strong communication, collaboration with diverse stakeholders, and influence skills.
Includes working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to extract content and translate it into clear, learner-friendly formats.
Strong analytical skills to identify skill or knowledge gaps in the team: pinpoint gaps and develop solutions that meet the need.
Creative skill in content creation and delivery to ensure it maximizes learner attention and delivers back on expected behavior change.
Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and influence without authority.
Flexible and able to pivot content and delivery methods to support organizational changes with positivity and optimism (positive change agent for the team).
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive the greatest impact through training.
Project management and organizational skills to ensure timelines are met, resources and utilized efficiently and content delivery is seamless.
Willing and able to travel to other sites up to 15%.
Qualifications – Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, Communications, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in instructional design and course development
Experience conducting needs analysis to identify gaps between current employee performance and business objectives.
Proficiency with instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate Rise/Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Canva).
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Cornerstone OnDemand preferred, and managing SCORM-compliant content.
Background in manufacturing, B2B customer service, or technical product environments preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
