Salary: $120,000 - 140,000/year This position allows for 3-4 days per week remote / work from home. The Legal Recruiting Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract and recruit talented law students and summer associates. This role involves managing the full-cycle recruiting process, from campus engagement to internship management, while collaborating with legal teams and stakeholders to align recruiting strategies with firm goals.
Responsibilities - Recruiting Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive recruiting strategies to attract top law students and summer associates. Identify and leverage key recruitment channels and platforms.
- Campus Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with law schools, career services, and student organizations. Coordinate and participate in on-campus recruitment events, including career fairs, networking events, and informational sessions.
- Recruitment Process Management: Oversee the entire recruitment process for student and summer associate positions, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and offer management.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Provide timely communication and feedback to candidates, and address any concerns or questions.
- Program Development: Design and manage summer associate programs, including onboarding, training, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with practice groups to ensure meaningful and productive work experiences for summer associates.
- Data Analysis: Track and analyze recruiting metrics and data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting strategies and make data-driven decisions. Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hiring partners, practice group leaders, and other stakeholders to understand hiring needs and align recruitment efforts with firm objectives.
- Branding & Outreach: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the firm's brand and presence within law schools and the legal community. Create promotional materials and manage social media campaigns related to recruiting.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion within the recruiting process. Implement initiatives to attract a diverse pool of candidates and ensure equitable recruiting practices.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A legal background or experience in legal recruiting is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal recruiting or a related field, with a focus on student and summer associate recruiting.
- Proven track record in developing and managing successful recruiting strategies and programs.
- Strong knowledge of recruiting practices and trends within the legal industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, faculty, and firm stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
