Job Description
NSC Staffing is currently hiring Shipyard GTAW/TIG PIPE WELDERS for work located in Northeastern Wisconsin with occasional travel to Jacksonville, FL. Candidates must have 3-5 years of related pipe welding experience. Per diem for those who qualify!
Major Responsibilities (Functions/Duties): Pipe Welder prepares and welds plate and fittings for various material types as specified by construction drawings and technical guidance documents. Must successfully demonstrate the ability to pass GTAW/TIG welding test on CuNi (copper nickel), Aluminum, Carbon Steel, and Stainless Steel in the 6G position.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The job is performed primarily on board vessels, ships, crafts, and barges; however, 5% of the job is completed shoreside, in piping and electrical tunnels. May be exposed to extreme heat, cold, noise, heights, and confined spaces. Administrative tasks such as computer entry, record retention, and filing make up 30% of the job and are performed in an office environment.
