What We Need: iHeartMedia has an opening for a seasoned anchor/reporter on multiple stations. Employee will also perform reporting duties, produce content for national wire service and perform general newsroom assignments Candidates should have high standards for audio quality, strong on-air presentation skills and the ability to write radio broadcast style copy.
What You'll Do: Responsibilities:
- Anchor newscasts for multiple markets.
- Write clear, concise news copy.
- Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire.
- Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations.
- Produce short-form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift.
- May be called on to anchor breaking news reports as needed.
What You'll Need: Qualifications:
- Extensive "on-air" background - this is not a position for beginners.
- Proficient in media production and broadcast systems
- Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi task in a fast-paced environment
Work Experience
- 3+ years' experience in on-air journalism in smaller market or college station
Education
- 4-year college degree, preferably in Broadcast Journalism or Communications
