Your Opportunity:

As a program analyst you will provide technical and program support to the Department of Energy's (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Defense Programs (NA-10). You will provide technical and programmatic support to the Nuclear Weapons Council (NWC). You will work daily in the DOE Forrestal Building in Washington, DC.

What You Will Do:

• Provide programmatic support to the NWC Executive Action Officer in these areas:
  • Serve as principal contract support specialist for daily NWC Support Team activities
  • Manage NWC joint agency events schedule and plan, organize, and manage tasks
  • Consult daily with partnering offices and agencies within DoD, DOE, and Department of State
  • Provide analytics including create, review, edit, coordinate, and distribute NWC executive correspondence and reports to the President of the United States and Congress (e.g., National Security Memorandums, Plans, Directives, statutory one-time and annual reports, prepared testimony, etc.).
  • Review and comment on formal inquiries from Congress through the National Security Council, NATO office constituents, and senior primary offices of record.

Requirements

What You Will Need:

• Active DOE Q or DoD Top Secret security clearance with an SCI is required
• Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks
• Knowledge of the NWC (its role in maintaining global nuclear deterrence, functional responsibilities, membership, associated national security directives) preferred
• Functional knowledge of the DOE/NNSA working capital infrastructure preferred
