Job Description

JOB DUTIES:

• Welcome patients, vendors, and other visitors to our office
• Answer phone lines and respond to emails accordingly
• Provide assistance to patients
• Track authorized visits daily to ensure no lapse in coverage or treatment
• Check patients in upon arrival to appointment
• Schedule and Register patients in our EMR systems (WebPT, Meditech)
• Collect copays, assist with balance inquiries
• Create and organize patient charts and documents
• Provide intake paperwork, review insurance benefits/patient responsibility
• Scan patient information into WebPT and any other EMR, including prescriptions, intake forms, authorizations, imaging, and other documentation
• Obtain patient scripts by communicating with other offices/physicians
• Keep a neat and clean workspace and waiting room
• Request cleaning supplies, clean linen, water and other supplies as needed from various departments within the hospital
• Communicate pertinent information with therapists/other office staff
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous Customer Service/Medical Office experience

Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred

Great interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work individually and as part of a team
