Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Boiler Technician with strong expertise in plumbing and HVAC systems to install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot boiler systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with hot water and steam boilers, understands HVAC system integration, and is skilled in diagnosing complex plumbing and heating issues.
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair boilers, burners, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and associated equipment .
Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on steam and hot water boiler systems , HVAC components, and related mechanical systems.
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance, tune-ups, and safety checks to ensure optimal system performance.
Install and repair plumbing systems connected to boilers, including piping, fittings, water supply lines, pumps, and circulators .
Work with HVAC systems including air handlers, chillers, rooftop units, thermostats, ductwork , and related controls.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams , and technical manuals.
Verify all installations are compliant with local codes, industry standards, and safety regulations .
Diagnose system issues such as pressure imbalances, leaks, burner malfunctions, water quality issues , and electrical faults.
Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and parts usage.
Collaborate with team members, contractors, and customers to complete projects efficiently and professionally.
Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
3-5+ years of experience as a Boiler Technician/Boiler Mechanic , preferably with plumbing and HVAC exposure.
Strong understanding of boiler operation, hydronic systems, steam systems, and heating cycles .
Proficiency in plumbing related to water lines, gas lines, circulation systems , and HVAC piping.
Experience diagnosing and repairing HVAC components , including motors, pumps, thermostats, compressors, and controls.
Familiarity with electrical systems related to heating equipment.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and combustion analyzers.
Strong safety awareness and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Good communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
