Position: Private Music Studio Instructor-Piano

Reports To: Director of Arts

FLSA Classification: Contract-1099

Responsibilities:

• Grow, develop, and teach a private music studio, delivering excellent musical instruction to a wide range of ages and abilities.
• Maintain accurate and updated records of lessons given.
• Manage scheduling and rescheduling students.
• Plan, rehearse, and present two performance recitals per year (winter and spring).
• Maintain professional relations with students and their families.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in music required or proven equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience preferably in an educational environment.

• A mission-driven individual who demonstrates an eagerness to serve in a faith-based academic environment & genuine ability to connect with and serve young people in a Christian community.
• Communications: Effective written, verbal, and editing communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
• Collaboration: Has student-centered focus and ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners.

• Have specific vision abilities required by this job that include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
• Manage equipment, including a phone, computer, camera, video equipment, and other electronic devices.
• Use muscles or limbs to Lift boxes or items under 30 lbs.
• Occasionally work nights and weekends in support of departmental school activities.
