The Department of Political Science at Rice University, located in Houston, Texas, invites applications for a Full Professor to begin July 1, 2025. The candidate will be expected to serve as Department Chair. Full professors are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise Ph.D. dissertations, perform research in their specialized area, and contribute to department, university, and disciplinary service. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of leadership and service at the dept/school/university/discipline level, outstanding teaching in undergraduate and graduate courses, and research excellence in their specialized area. Candidates should have research interests and expertise in the areas of American politics, comparative politics, or international relations, and have utilized quantitative research methods in their work. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in political science or a closely related field.
