Registered Nurse (RN) Inpatient Lactation Consultant Additional Requirements: Work schedule: Part-time Day Shift: 2x12 hour shifts per week, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Holidays are linked into groups, with staff assigned to one group each year. The groups will rotate annually. Additionally, staff are required to work 4 weekend shifts within each 6-week schedule. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Experience : Required 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship. Preferred: Two years of recent experience on an inpatient postpartum unit. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start | For Critical Care Units: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Within 6 Months | For Pediatric Units: Pediatric Advanced Life Support- Within 6 Months | For Infusion Center Units: Obtain chemo card- within 3 months of hire Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license Registered Nurse (RN) Inpatient Lactation Consultant Preferred Qualifications: Two years of recent (within the past year) Registered Nurse (RN) inpatient experience on a Postpartum Unit.
