CLINICAL INTERVIEWINGPatient Types:Higher level of telemetry patientsPCI pre/post care, CHF, MI, DMII, GI, GU, ONC, Sepsis, Stroke, Neutropenia, COVID(higher level of oxygenation), PNA, AMS, TIA, AKI, Dehydrations, ETOH, Syncope, CKD, Afib with RVR, Dialysis, NSTEMI, Leukemia, Pulmonary Edema, Anemia, Shock, Chest pain, HypoxiaHigh volume of post-cath lab procedures - TR bands, stent placements (must be familiar with the procedure), fresh cath patients (no sheaths) requiring q15 min checksDo not take DKA - those patients go to ICUHigh Spanish-speaking population (30-50%)High volume of the underserved population - charity care - looking for compassionate caregiversPatient Ratios:Days: 1:4Nights: 1:5Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required, ONS (Preferred)Oncology experience is not required. Will be given Tele patients if no oncology experience.Skills required:Trach care, chest tube, TR band, Post Cath lab, Central line maintenance care, Bipap experience required, Hi-flow experience required, Reading/Interpreting/measuring Cardiac Rhythm strips required. Titratable drip experience required (diltiazem and heparin, nurse protocol based on lab values).Support on the Unit:CNA: (Team Nursing)Days 1:6Nights 1:8Receptionist/HUCCharge nurse/Staff coordinator - Typically does not take patient assignments, will help withOccasionally will have 1-2 patients if staffing needsPhlebotomy - days/nightsIV/VAT Team until 2300Hospitalist - 24/7Telemetry monitoring tech? Yes, on the unit. 2 central units. 32 patients per central unit. Sign off strips q 4 hours.Technology/Equipment:EMR: EPICIV pumps: Plum pumpsMedication dispensing: OmnicellMonitors: DraegerFloating: If yes, where?All other MS/tele unitsOrientation (#hrs/shifts):Hospital Orientation2 - 12hr shifts on the unit depending on their contracted shiftsScheduling:Weekend rotation: Every other weekendWeekend nights are Friday/SatOn call? NoHoliday Expectations: 1-2 Holidays per contract Approval of time off? Can we approve up to 7 days off on your behalf? YesShift times: Days 7a-7p

Nights 7p-7aSchedule cycle: 4-week increments and will receive the schedule 4 weeks in advanceOvertime is optional.Other notes:Scrub Color: Any colorParking: Free onsite parkingCulture - Traveler friendly, very welcoming.
