Are you ready to make an impact? We're looking for a Risk Analyst who plays a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could affect Entain's operations, financial stability, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will bring their strong proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, scenario analysis, and data-driven risk reporting to conduct in-depth risk assessments and analyse data to spot emerging threats, trends, and vulnerabilities that could impact the organisation.

Reporting to the Senior Risk Manager this is an opportunity to work across business units to implement risk mitigation strategies, strengthen internal controls, and ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

The position is based in Brisbane, Australia. Entain has offices in Darwin, Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland, and Wellington. Your day-to-day... 

• Prepare and conduct comprehensive Enterprise-wide and Business Level risk assessments across financial, operational, regulatory and strategic risks.
• Utilise data-driven insights (analyse data trends and key risk indicators) to improve the risk assessment process and identify opportunities to strengthen Entain's overall business resilience.
• Collaborate with the AML/CTF, Safer Gambling and Compliance Teams to ensure that risks controls are fully aligned with industry best practice and regulatory obligations.
• Support the design and execution of a robust, risk management approach, including targeted risk-based controls, response plans and mitigation strategies to reduce the organisational vulnerability.
• Conduct post-incident reviews, analyse root causes and provide recommendations to Senior Management and Risk Committee to enhance risk controls to prevent recurrence and capture key lessons learned for continuous improvement.

What you will bring...  

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), including risk identification, assessment and mitigation strategies, preferably within the online wagering, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience In a 2nd line risk function Is highly desirable, demonstrating the ability to provide independent oversight, challenge and support risk governance.
• Strong proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, scenario analysis, and data-driven risk reporting.
• Practical experience using risk analytics tools or Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems.
• Be an approachable and proactive partner to a variety of business stakeholders.
• Be able to communicate your ideas clearly to a range of different audiences and be effective in influencing
