Roofing Superintendent

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Roofing Superintendent to oversee our roofing projects from start to finish. This is a traveling position focusd on commercial re-roof projects, primarily in the Central and Eastern US markets. Most of our projects typically last 6 weeks, start-to-finish. This person will likely return home every 10 days or so. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the construction process, ensuring quality standards are met, and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to deliver successful projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage roofing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate schedules and materials for roofing projects, including interaction with subcontractors and vendors.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress and adherence to project plans.
• Collaborate with project managers to establish project milestones and deadlines.
• Manage labor resources to ensure adequate manpower for project completion.
• Assist in the bidding process and evaluate proposals from subcontractors.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, blueprints, and compliance reports.
• Facilitate project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Roofing Superintendent on commercial roofing projects
• Strong knowledge of single ply roofing systems and materials (TPO, PVC, EPDM)
• Willingness to travel to various project sites for an average of 6-week project turnaround times
• Experience with big box, warehouse and disributioncenter projects
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
• Excellent project management skills with a focus on scheduling and coordination.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams and subcontractors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook for project documentation and communication.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and code compliance (IBC).
