Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled Social Worker specializing in K-12 school settings to support students in Detroit, MI. This contract position spans the full school year, providing essential social and emotional support to students across grades K-12.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans.
• Assess student needs and connect families with community resources and support services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to monitor student progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with school and district policies.

Desired Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker.
• Experience working with diverse K-12 student populations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
