JOB SUMMARY: Vibrant Ingredients is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Flavorist to support the growth of the beverage and food category by working with customers to provide solutions with innovative and winning flavors.

Skills, Traits, & Competencies:

• Flavor Creation Skills: > 10 years’ experience, with a proven track record of sales in the beverage and food categories.
• Excellent technical execution and project management skills
• Highly developed organizational skills
• Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization.
• Great presentation skills and a love for customers are necessary
• Ability to travel up to 25%

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of innovative flavors for the beverage and food industry that are aligned with the business strategy
• Ability to manage and drive projects to a successful outcome
• Ability to develop Technical to Technical relationships with customers
• Ability to create flavors from scratch, as well as optimizing existing formulations to deliver winning flavor solutions to our customers
• Excellence in matching capability
• Develop a robust portfolio of consumer preferred flavors and flavor systems that support our targeted customer needs in various formats including liquid, spray dry and emulsion flavors
• Work closely with product developers to create great tasting prototypes for both proactive and reactive projects
• Collaboration with analytical team to develop a robust database of flavor and ingredient analysis
• Work closely with procurement to ensure best pricing and ingredient quality in flavor formulation
• Support sales and marketing to deliver customer presentations and prototype development that promote existing and new business growth opportunities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Science degree or higher (preferably in Food Science/Chemistry) from a reputable school
• Certification from the Society of Flavorists desired
• Proven track record of success in the Flavor industry
• Full working knowledge of flavor raw materials, flavor creation and flavor chemistry
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and delivery technologies
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Highly established project management skills including MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.)
