Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role shall support the business in areas of new product development, process improvement, daily product support, manage key programs, technical authority in metal processes, analyze and interpret technical data (engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, etc.) and create shop routings, operations sheets, tools, and other necessary processes and equipment to produce a high-quality product.

You Will:

• Based on requirements from customer orders, plan sequences of operations for fabrication and assembly of products.
\n
• Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing methods are used that are compatible to available machines.
\n
• Specifies, design and/or procures special tooling or equipment required to attain product per customer requirement within budgeted cost and time.
\n
• Programs CNC machines to effectively and efficiently produce desired product.
\n
• Analyze and resole fabrication and tooling issues to avoid problems.
\n
• Creating new or modifying existing manufacturing drawings used CAD methodology.
\n
• Value engineer existing products and processes to reduce cost, lead time and cycle times.
\n
• Comply with all company policies/procedures.
\n
• Comply with all military and contractual requirements.
\n
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

You Have:

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

\n
• Extension machining background in the production of close tolerance highly precision products involving various types of metal allows. CAD/CAM experience with exposure in working with NX, Solid Works or Master Cam preferred..
\n
• Strong metal processing background, i.e., Heat Treating, Surface Finishing, Forging, Casting, etc.
\n
• Strong Project Management Skills.
\n
• Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project, Solidworks, CATIA and other applicable tools.
\n
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; presents ideas and information in a manner that gets others' attention; displays willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions includes appropriate people in decision-making process.
\n
• Passion for data, analysis, trends, reporting and technology. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write clearly and informatively routine reports, correspondence, and designs workflows and procedures. Presents numerical data effectively.
\n
• Demonstrated aptitude for process improvement and use of Lean and Six-Sigma resources and tools.
\n

Education & Experience

\n
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) with at least 2 years' experience
\n
• 2+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience in an aerospace or high precision manufacturing environment with high mix/low to mid volume product rates.
\n
