About the Role We’re looking for a confident and proactive Senior Systems Analyst to support critical payment systems as a part of our Retail Enablement tribe. This full-time, permanent role is hands-on and varied; you’ll need to be calm under pressure, great at problem-solving and enjoy working across both cloud and on-prem environments in a fast-paced team. Supporting critical payment systems: you’ll play a key role in supporting and improving key systems, including a newly implemented payment gateway used for both online and offline transactions. You’ll manage incidents, investigate problems and work closely with internal teams and vendors to keep things running smoothly. Delivering cloud and API solutions: our systems are a mix of cloud-based and on-premises platforms, mainly supporting Java-based applications, APIs,Mule and other microservices. You’ll bring strong knowledge of cloud systems (preferably AWS) and API integrations. Driving continuous improvements: you’ll contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of systems, using data-driven insights and root-cause analysis to recommend improvements that lift system performance, reliability and user experience. You’ll also maintain system support documentation to ensure knowledge is up-to-date and easily accessible for the wider team. On-call support: afteryour initial training, you'll join an 24x7 on-call roster covering critical incidents. You’ll receive an additional weekly allowance during your rostered on-call hours. On-call duties are rotated monthly so this will typically be for one week per month (subject to team resourcing). What will you bring? A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. 5–10 years’ experience in complex systems support and analysis. Strong experience with cloud platforms (ideally AWS) and supporting API integrations. Previous experience supporting Java web applications, preferably in cloud environments. Experience with Splunkwould be advantageous. Payments system experience would be a bonus. Knowledge of ServiceNow, Azure DevOps (ADO), Snowflake, SQL query, Mulewould be a plus. Confident communication skills and the ability to influence and coordinate with senior stakeholders.
