Shota Omakase is one Michelin restaurant , also rewards Best Omakase in New York City in 2023 & 2024.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests. As a Server, you will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences by delivering high-quality food and beverage service while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties (the following job description is not limited to these points but may be changed as needed)

Must Knowledge of Sake & Wine.
Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Strong on communication with team leaders.
Present menus, take orders, and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials.
Accurately process orders using the Toast POS system and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests. Can lift at least 25-50 lbs boxes.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
Provide recommendations for food pairings and upsell menu items when appropriate.
Handle guest payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records of transactions.

Experience

Previous experience in a Japanese restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast, is advantageous.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments are essential.
Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations within the food industry is required.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are crucial for success in this role.
