Sign Installer's Assistant

The Sign Installer's assistant/helper will perform a wide range of duties related to the physical installation of signs.

This position is for all aspects of the physical installation of signage. The ideal candidate has previous print or sign production/installation experience and the physical ability to perform this job.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with fabricators and Sign installers on the field;
• Inspect signs for defects before shipment or installation;
• Assist in surveying and preparing the installation site;
• Prepare the necessary hardware and equipment for installation;
• Prepare the work site by removing old signage and preparing mounting surfaces;
• Perform various signage installation, such as wall-mounting, hanging, raceway installation, vinyl application or other, depending on the requirements;
• Work with a variety of tools such as saws, drills and rivet guns;
• Assist in mounting interior and exterior signage to wall surfaces or substrates;
• Follow all safety policies and procedures in the preparation and installation phases;
• Install signage in strict compliance with the work order and the instructions of the head installer;

Qualifications

• 1+ Experience in sign fabrication and installation in a Sign Shop environment;
• Experience in work with hands and a good understating of measuring and cutting material to exact job specifications.
• A knowledge and high level of experience and attention to detail with applying graphics to substrates.
• Ability to mount Interior and exterior signage to wall surfaces or substrates
• Ability to work with many different print and signage materials and substrates.
• Physical ability to assemble and install signs;
• Ability to work as an active member of the team;
• Knowledge of standard safe work practices;
• a valid drivers license.
