JOB TITLE

Senior Software Engineer- Oracle Forms/Apex

JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle-based applications. This role involves working closely with other project team members to deliver robust and scalable solutions that meet business requirements. Work Location: Work is remote with potential occasional customer site visits. Prefer DC metro area.

Clearance Requirement: Successful candidates must be a USC/GC/EAD and are able to complete a Public Trust background check (must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, Design, Develop, Test, Troubleshoot, and maintain a mission-critical system.
• Create/modify complex DB scripts.
• Develop/modify Oracle views.
• Investigate/analyze data discrepancies, provide results of analysis, develop a plan to resolve the discrepancies.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle database and schemas.
• Provide recommendations for modernizations and enhancements.
• Maintain/update data dictionary, logical and physical database models.
• Perform data refreshes.
• A full life-cycle software engineering skill combined with enterprise architecture and design experience.
• Experience developing enterprise-class software applications using Oracle Forms and Oracle Apex.
• Experience developing software applications against Oracle databases (10g and above) including experience with Oracle SQL*Plus and PL/SQL.
• Excellent organizational, task management, writing, and interpersonal skills and an ability to interact with users, Government technical and business representatives, and vendors.
• Experience utilizing SQL Developer, SSH, WinSCP, DevSecOps, GitHub and ServiceNow.
• Demonstrated professional experience of development in one of the common programming languages: Java, Python, C++.
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in Government environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to communicate complex concepts in an effective audience tailored fashion.
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience with designing and maintaining Oracle Databases and strong experience with Oracle APEX
• Demonstrated experience working on Agile Scrum Projects.
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience analyzing database requirements within an object relational database system, such as ORACLE RDBM.
• Ability to communicate complex data and applications, and integration around new and existing Oracle views and APIs.
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience analyzing and determining information needs and elements, database relationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities.
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience planning and implementing database migrations and integrations.
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience modernizing databases as well as migrating and maintaining databases withing the cloud.
• Demonstrated experience writing, implementing, and verifying DB scripts for data migration.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
