Job Title: Commercial PV Solar Estimator with Design Experience

• This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime during peak project times.
• Can be 100% remote

• Pay rate $110,000 to 120,000 plus

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial solar PV projects.
• Assist with the design of solar PV systems, including layout, sizing, and electrical design.
• Create drawings for solar carports, rooftop solar arrays, and ground-mounted solar arrays.
• Attend pre-bid meetings to assess project scope and requirements.
• Coordinate with utilities for design, permitting, and project execution.
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to manage project costs and materials.
• Use CAD software to create electrical single-line diagrams and panel schedules.
• Develop checklists for reviewing completed solar installation projects.
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in commercial solar PV estimation and system design.
• Proficiency in CAD software for creating electrical diagrams.
• Strong ability to prepare detailed project estimates and reports.
• Experience in coordinating with utilities and managing project permitting.
• Strong communication skills for working with vendors and subcontractors.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in project planning and execution.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to commercial solar installations.
