Job Description

Talascend is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Sr. CAD Designer position located in Tulsa, OK.



Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Designs new products and makes improvements to existing products using computer aided design (CADWorx).
• May evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability and ensure project completion.
• Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner.
• Requires 5-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Must haves:

• 5+ Cadworx piping experience, generating ISO's, and checking.
• P&ID drafting capabilities.

Must be able to answer the following questions:
Qualifying Questions:


1. Can you describe your experience with CADWorx, specifically in generating ISOs and checking?


2. How have you utilized P&ID drafting capabilities in your previous roles?


3. Can you provide an example of a product improvement you designed using CADWorx that significantly enhanced cost efficiency or reliability?


4. Describe a time when you had to collaborate with other engineering staff to ensure timely project completion. What was your role and how did you contribute to the teams success?


5. Have you ever led a team or directed the work of others in an engineering project? If so, how did you manage the responsibilities and ensure the projects success?
