Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in general accounting with a focus on Accounts Receivable (AR). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the entire Accounts Receivable process, including billing, posting payments, and maintaining accurate customer account records.
• Lead all collection efforts for outstanding customer balances; proactively communicate with customers to resolve overdue accounts.
• Monitor and manage the AR aging report, follow up on past-due accounts, and escalate issues as needed.
• Prepare and distribute customer statements and respond to inquiries regarding invoices or balances.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support general ledger maintenance and assist in reconciling accounts.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with audits and provide documentation as requested.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Manufacturing to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• 0–2 years of accounting experience; internships or relevant coursework preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new systems (experience with ERP systems a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
