Our ENT practice located in Sandy Springs is seeking a surgery scheduler. We are a mid-sized otolaryngology practice located on-campus at Northside Hospital. Our 4 physicians perform surgeries in the operating room and in-office, which requires coordination between our office, surgery facilities, surgical assistants, reps, patients, and insurance companies. We are seeking the right person to help our existing surgery scheduler. This person must have a grasp of health insurance logistics as well as medical terminology and procedural knowledge--this job mixes both. We are willing to consider part-time as well as full-time candidates, so apply if you think you would be a good fit!Summary of Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits
• Obtain insurance authorizations
• Schedule procedures, as well as pre and post-op appointments
• Collect surgery deposits, depending on insurance benefits
• Coordinate with various facilities where procedures are performed
• Ensure communication between surgical assistants, facilities, and office staff, so that surgeries go smoothly
• Answer and promptly return patient phone calls
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Positive, friendly personality
• Ability to work as a team with our other surgery scheduler
• Physician office experience
• ENT experience preferred but not required
• Greenway Health PrimeSuite software experience a plus
• 2 years procedure scheduling preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills a must
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to prioritize tasks
