OB Surgical Technologist Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements) Shift: 3x12 variables (nights and days)**Variable is listed here, must be able to fill holes. Will be on the same shift days/nights for 1 week at a time. Types of Cases REQ: Labor / Delivery/Recovery/ Post partum Care/ Newborn and Adult care Any special procedure done on the unit: Surgical Tech must be knowledgeable in assisting in C-section, tubal ligation, D&C, hysterectomy. Surgical Tech’s also assist in room turn over in the C-section and vaginal delivery rooms. Surgical Tech’s assist with vaginal deliveries. Surgical techs assist with CNA duties, transport patients, supplies and equipment and stock rooms. Usual care for a labor and delivery and post partum unit as well as checking/turning over our Obstetrics Emergency (OBED) rooms as well. # of cases: 10 L&D, 13 Mother Baby. 160 births per month. Years of Experience REQ: L&D/Perinatal background required, at least 2 years’ experience would be preferred. Epic Experience REQ? 1 Year of Epic Experience preferred. First-Timers Accepted: Previous travel required. Weekend REQ: TBD but must be available to fill the gaps. Certs REQ: BLS and AWHONN. Washington Surgical Technician cert required, CST preferred but not required. Is on-call REQ? No Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, Float as sitters or CNA's or assist in main OR. Not very frequent - only if over staffed. Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No Open to accommodating block schedule?
