Role Description

We're looking for a motivated Test Automation Engineer to help build and maintain our testing infrastructure at PromptWell. As an early member of our engineering team, you'll own most of our testing strategy and infrastructure, help establish best practices that will scale with our company. This is a unique opportunity to shape our quality culture and make architectural decisions that will impact our product for years to come.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrating automated testing across testing and production environments
• Establish testing infrastructure including test environments, data management, and monitoring systems
• Create and maintain automated test suites for API, UI, integration, and performance testing
• Develop testing standards and documentation
• Collaborate directly with developers to integrate testing early in the development lifecycle
• Evaluate and select testing tools, frameworks, and third-party services

Skills we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in test automation and QE infrastructure
• Strong NodeJS and Typescript knowledge
• Proven experience building test automation frameworks from scratch
• Experience with GitHub actions and other CI/CD tools
• Experience NodeJS testing frameworks, specifically Playwright and Jest
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, etc.)
• Experience with NoSQL databases
• Self-starter mentality with ability to work autonomously

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in early-stage startups
• Experience with Firebase and/or Heroku
• Strong Python knowledge
• Knowledge of security testing tools and practices
